Sri Lanka Rugby conducted Inter University (Government) sevens a side rugby saw Sri Jayewardenepura girls becoming champions.

The event which took place at the Thurstan ground saw eight teams locking horns and the organizers are going keep another Private University event in the near future.

In the Final Sri Jayewardenepura University beat Kothalawela Defence Unit A 5/0.

Meanwhile Colombo University A ended as the third placed team.
